Rooney Earthmoving Ltd is a large family-owned South Island business with work bases in Oamaru, Waimate, Timaru, Ashburton and Christchurch. We have been around for over 49 years and have become a trusted, progressive brand in the civil construction industry.

We are currently recruiting permanent roles to join our Christchurch or Ashburton construction teams.

Due to our solid forward civil work program and some exciting new projects, we require Scraper Drivers with experience and attributes that include:

• Individuals with skills and experience on modern motor scrapers.
• Experienced with push pull, twin engine units.
• Skills across a range of earthmoving machines.
• A proven knowledge of health and safety standards and systems on civil projects.
• Skilled to produce a tidy finishing but still able to maintain output.
• Can work the hours to get the results without damaging the gear.
