We are Central Otago’s leading cleaning and Pest Control / Restoration company, employing a team of skilled cleaners and technicians who take pride in delivering premium cleaning services across residential, commercial, and specialist sites.
We are seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our leadership team. This is a full-time, permanent role offering 40+ hours per week, requiring proven experience in managing cleaning operations and maintaining high presentation standards. The position is paid at $30-35 NZD per hour.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise, train, and coordinate the daily activities of cleaning staff across multiple sites
• Inspect completed work to ensure adherence to company and client standards
• Prepare work schedules and allocate cleaning assignments efficiently
• Maintain compliance with company Health & Safety procedures and relevant legislation
• Oversee inventory control of cleaning materials and equipment
• Support management in client communication and job reporting
• Carry out high-level cleaning duties as required, including builders cleans, post-construction cleans, and detailed tenancy cleans
Essential Skills and Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a cleaning supervisory or relevant area
• Current First Aid certificate
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail and a high standard of personal and professional presentation
• Proven ability to manage multiple teams and ensure efficiency and quality across sites
Preferred Attributes
• Experience with specialist cleaning methods (e.g., window cleaning, builders cleans, high-end residential and commercial properties)
• Understanding of environmentally responsible cleaning practices
• Ability to train and mentor staff in cleaning techniques and safety procedures
