The CAD Kitchen Designer is responsible for producing detailed CAD drawings that
support both the kitchen sales process and the accurate manufacturing of custom cabinetry. This role bridges the sales, design, and factory teams, ensuring every kitchen is designed to client specifications and manufactured efficiently. It is a crucial technical position that ensures precision, quality, and operational flow across the business.
Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed.
Applicants must have:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience
- OR a level 6 or above qualificaion in fields like enginieeting, architecture, or industrial design.
- Applicants must be physically fit and willing to learn.
- Applicants must pass pre-employment drug test and have no criminal record.
Key responsibilities:
1. CAD Design & Technical Drafting
- Create precise CAD drawings for kitchen layouts, cabinetry components, and
detailed manufacturing specifications. - Produce 2D and 3D concept designs aligned with client needs and company
manufacturing requirements. - Prepare plans, elevations, technical sections, cut lists, and assembly details.
- Update drawings as required to reflect client changes or production adjustments.
- Ensure all work follows internal drafting standards and industry best practice.
2. Sales & Client Support
- Support sales staff by generating design concepts for quoting, visuals, and client
presentations. - Translate client ideas and measurements into practical, buildable technical
designs. - Provide technical clarification and design detail feedback during the sales process.
- Work collaboratively during client consultations to ensure designs meet both
aesthetic and manufacturing requirements.
3. Manufacturing Coordination
- Prepare complete manufacturing documentation for factory teams, ensuring
drawings are production-ready. - Liaise with joiners, CNC operators, and production staff to ensure design feasibility
and clarity. - Identify potential design conflicts or buildability issues early and propose solutions.
Maintain clear communication of design intent to relevant internal teams.
4. Quality, Workflow & Compliance
- Maintain exceptional accuracy and documentation standards across all drawings
- Manage multiple projects at once with strong time-management and organisation
