Lowie Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced and confident Forklift Driver/Freight Checker to join our client’s team in Hornby, Christchurch.

Hours:

  • Monday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Tuesday to Friday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Saturday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM (finish times may vary)

Some duties you may be required to do:

  • Operating a counterbalance forklift to load/unload freight from curtain siders
  • Accurately checking and recording freight quantities and condition
  • Ensuring all freight is handled safely and efficiently
  • Following all health and safety protocols at all times

The ideal candidate will have the following skills:

  • Proven experience in logistics and forklift operation
  • High level of confidence and competence operating a counterbalance forklift
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when checking freight
  • Ability to work varied hours, including evenings and Saturdays
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

You will need to be a NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident or on a valid work visa to apply for a position.
