Our company is a well-established liquor retail store committed to providing excellent customer service and a wide range of quality products. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Store Manager to join our team and lead day-to-day store operations.

About the Role

The Store Manager will be responsible for supervising all store activities, ensuring compliance with licensing laws, maintaining stock levels, and leading a high-performing sales team. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for managing retail operations.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Oversee daily store operations including opening and closing
✔ Lead, train and supervise store staff
✔ Provide excellent customer service and handle customer queries/complaints
✔ Ensure compliance with all liquor licensing laws and health & safety requirements
✔ Manage inventory, stock rotation and supplier orders
✔ Monitor sales targets and profitability
✔ Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising and product displays
✔ Manage cash handling and banking procedures

 

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Knowledge of liquor licensing regulations and age-verification responsibilities

  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required

  • A positive attitude and focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences

Qualifications / Requirements

  • LCQ and Manager’s Certificate – Preferred

  • Relevant qualification or relevant experience

  • Legal right to work in New Zealand

  • Pay Rate - $30 to $ 35 Per hour and 30 hours per week
