Service Foods Christchurch branch is looking for a Produce Assistant to pick and pack fruit and vegetableorders for customers on their busy night shift.

  • Location: Cumnor Terrace, Woolston, Christchurch
  • Full-time permanent role
  • Shift timings: Sunday-Friday- 6.00 pm to 2.30 am
  • Night allowance

The job: In this role, you will pick and pack customer orders, ensuring they are accurate and complete.

  • Accurately pick and pack customer orders 
  • Enter orders in the system
  • Wrap pallets and assist in loading and dispatching
  • Assist with handling stocks and restocking
  • Ensure product is stored safely at all times
  • Lift heavy products up to 20 kgs
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment
  • Assist with general warehouse functions

The candidate:

This is a physically demanding role that requires someone with a good degree of strength who can keep up with our fast-paced environment. You will be someone with:

  • Some Pick Pack/Warehouse work experience
  • Reasonably good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Confidence, flexibility and attention to detail
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Should pass MOJ & ACC checks
  • Should have own transport with Class 1 license.
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Relevant work experience and knowledge of essential food ingredients.
  • Physically strong and fit; should be able to lift heavy objects.
  • Commitment to work night shifts
  • A great attitude towards work and be a fast learner.
  • A team player with time management
