Store manager wanted for Asian supermarket 

Yan & Chiu Trading ( Lower Hutt ) Ltd is looking to employ a store manager for its Asian supermarket based in Wellington. The store manager we are looking for will work minimum 35 hours per week and be paid $35 per hour. You will be expected to work in a busy environment but have to be presentable, reliable and able to deliver under pressure while maintain the highest standards of quality and presentation. The main tasks include but not limited to the followings:

1.     Choose products, determine stock levels and prices and maintain financial transactions 

2.     Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and increase profitability, and monitor sales activities

3.     Create and implement buying and marketing policies

4.     Collaborate with suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure competitive pricing and quality products

5.     Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment for staff and customers

6.     Hire, train, and supervise supermarket staff, ensuring that they provide excellent customer service and follow company policies and procedures.

7.     Monitor and analyze sales and customer data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

8.     Answer customer questions about goods and services, resolve customer complaints and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

9.     Complete budgets and financial plans

10.  Make sure shops comply with health and safety regulations.
