JP Media Limited are looking for an Event Development Manager to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent role with 30 working hours per week from Monday to Friday. The working location is in Auckland. We offer an hourly rate of $36.00.

Some role responsibilities would include:

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing plans to grow the company’s events and brand in New Zealand and Australia.
  • Promote, organise and coordinate music concerts, cultural exhibitions and entertainment events to support sales objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong business relationships with artists, agencies, partners and suppliers, especially in Asia markets.
  • Negotiate performance programmes, schedules, contract terms and cooperation agreements with artists and agencies.
  • Manage events and budgets, monitor costs and ensure events meet sales targets and are delivered within budget.
  • Oversee event logistics, including venue booking, equipment, accommodation, catering, transportation and other services.
  • Supervise contractors, service providers and staff to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Conduct basic market research to identify target audiences, new opportunities and effective promotion methods.
  • Support the director with other business development tasks as required.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

·         Must have at least five years of relevant work experience in concert and exhibition

·         A tertiary education qualification in a related area is preferable, but not a must

·         Have strong business connections with artists and agencies from China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Korea and Southeast Asia

·         Familiar with entertainment, cultural-related industries and concert markets, especially in Asia

·         Familiar with the concert, exhibition and event workflow

·         Ability to lead and coordinate a team

·         Available for international business travel
