We are currently seeking 3 skilled tilers who enjoy practical tasks with an element of creativity to join our friendly and small team. You will provide comprehensive wall and floor tiling services in the residential and commercial setting as well as in industrial environments in accordance with relevant safety regulations and departmental procedures. We work for new built-up projects, private and commercial renovations.

Job duties

  • Inspecting and interpreting plans while assessing the surface conditions
  • Laying out work and defining materials while measuring and marking surfaces
  • Providing clients with preliminary quotes for the intended job
  • Ordering stocking supplies and gathering tiling equipment
  • Cutting and shaping tiles or marble to size
  • Cleaning and leveling the surface area
  • Applying waterproofing systems
  • Applying tiling grout
  • Ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced according to design plans
  • Cleaning off excess grout and conducting post-installation inspections
  • Any other duties the employer reasonably may require employee to perform

 

 Pay rate: minimum $30.00/hour - maximum $35.00/hour

 

Guaranteed hours of work per week: minimum of 30 hours per week - maximum of 50 hours per week

 

Requirements for the job

 

  • At least  2 years of relevant work experience 
  • Full time availability, able to work on late nights
  • Eyes for details and a hard-working attitude
  • Have thinking and reasoning skills
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • No criminal record
  • Candidates need to be NZ citizens/residents
