Mechanical Engineering Technician Wanted

Location: Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent （Monday to Friday, guaranteed 30 hours work/per week)

 

Our rapidly growing bottled water manufacturing facility is seeking 3X Mechanical Engineering Technicians to perform equipment maintenance, ensure production reliability, and support factory expansion. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical & electrical background, hands-on maintenance ability, and solid knowledge in beverage/food manufacturing.

 

🔧 Key Responsibilities

 

1. Assistant in developing the factory’s annual overhaul and implement major maintenance plans, equipment maintenance standards, and review maintenance results

2. Lead on-site troubleshooting for mechanical, electrical, and equipment failures; inspect maintenance quality and ensure compliance with maintenance procedures

3. Investigate equipment incidents/accidents, conduct root-cause analysis, prepare reports, and implement corrective & preventive actions

4. Manage equipment spare parts inventory, maintenance records, and safety stock; submit purchase requests and ensure procurement quality

5. Achieve equipment management goals and annual performance targets

6. Ensure safe operation of all production equipment and maintain high equipment availability

7. Develop safe-operation procedures for water, electricity, energy-saving plans, and electrical operational guidelines; monitor execution

8. Train and supervise maintenance staff, and machine operators in complying relevant regulations

9. May complete any additional tasks assigned by management

 

 

🔍 Requirements

 

1.        Be physically fit, strong H&S awareness,

2.        Strong knowledge background in mechanical, electrical, or equipment engineering

3.        Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in mechanical/electrical maintenance OR a relevant level 5 diploma qualification in Numerical Control Technique or Mechanical Engineer

4.        Good communication, execution ability, and problem-solving skills

5.        Strong work ethic, loyal, reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented with a high level of professionalism

6.        Clean criminal report and no drug history
