We are looking for a Security Patrolling Officer to join our team. The motel has approximately 40 guests rooms and requires a professional officer to ensure the safety of guests, staff, and property. The role includes monitoring motel facilities, patrolling internal and external areas, responding to incidents, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.
The successful candidate will work independently and as part of the wider hotel operations team to deliver high‐quality security services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Security Patrol & Property Monitoring
Conduct routine patrols around guest rooms, car parks, outdoor areas, and all motel premises.
Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems to proactively identify risks or unusual activities.
Inspect entrances, access points, storage rooms, and restricted areas to ensure they are properly secured.
2. Guest & Staff Safety
Maintain a visible security presence to deter criminal activities.
Assist guests with safety concerns and provide escort upon request.
Respond to disturbances, noise complaints, suspicious activity, theft, or emergencies.
3. Emergency Response
Act as first responder to fire alarms, medical incidents, or emergency calls within the motel.
Follow motel emergency procedures and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
Assist in evacuations or building checks during emergency alerts.
4. Access Control
Monitor guest and visitor access to the property, especially at night.
Ensure only authorised persons enter restricted or staff-only areas.
Verify contractors or suppliers accessing operational areas.
5. Reporting & Documentation
Prepare accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and patrol records.
Record observations from surveillance systems and report any suspicious activity.
Report maintenance issues discovered during patrol (e.g., lighting, locks, safety hazards).
6. Surveillance System Maintenance
Regularly inspect motel surveillance cameras and recording equipment to ensure proper operation.
Identify faults or malfunctions in the CCTV system and report or coordinate timely repairs.
Perform basic troubleshooting and system checks (e.g., connection issues, camera angles, recording verification).
