Job Description:

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Supervise orchard workers during pruning, thinning, and harvesting activities
  • Assist with spraying, irrigation, and fertilization tasks
  • Monitor crop health and report pest or disease issues promptly
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and orchard SOPs
  • Maintain accurate work records and assist Site Manager with reporting
  • Train new staff on orchard techniques and equipment handling
  • Coordinate daily work schedules and allocate tasks efficiently
  • Support orchard operations during peak seasonal demands
  • Operate machinery when required and ensure proper maintenance checks

Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job

  • NZQF level 4 qualification is required;OR
  • At least two years working experience in the same industry
  • Work well in a team as well as individually
  • Be well-organized and able to multitask
  • Have strong Health and Safety awareness
  • Be physically fit
