We are looking for a Full time Supervisor for supervising team of Orchard workers in Auckland. Successful candidate should be capable to keep up with a physically demanding role and ability to work rostered as per the work demand from Monday to Sunday between 8am to 6 pm minimum of 30 hours to maximum 45 hours per week.

 

Job Duties

  • Supervising the work of orchard teams to ensure all tasks are completed to a high standard and on schedule
  • Assist with the training of team in their day-to-day duties
  • Identifying and resolving any issues or challenges that arise in the orchard, and communicating with the management team as needed
  • Maintaining detailed records of all orchard activities, including labour, crop yields, growing vegetables and equipment usage.
  • Support the management team in the planning and implementation of orchard activities
  • Promoting a positive and collaborative work environment for the orchard team
  • Ability to lead of orchard workers to achieve the set targets of the business
  • Completing employees time records and prepare time sheets.
  • Giving inductions to new supervisors, new staff and giving training of emergency sign off
  •   Reporting to the manager on the progress of the orchard operations
  • Providing strong leadership, managing, mentoring and support to a large and diverse team.
  •  Act as contact person for clients to discuss and resolve issues with their contracts
  • Visiting the worksites within the area from time to time to ensure standards of work comply with both employers as well as grower’s expectations.
  • Keep company records confidential and protect the company brand name in the market
  •   Ensuring all work is completed safely, meeting compliance requirements
  •  Handle employees’ complaints in an ethical manner

 

Job Requirement:

·        To be successful you must have at least 1 year of relevant work experience or at least level 2 qualification or higher (Subject Area Flexible)

·        No criminal conviction history

·        Can pass pre-employment drug and alcohol test

·        Available to work on Weekends and public holidays

 

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $25 to $28 per hour.
