Position Title: Road Transport Manager
Number of Positions: 1
Location: Auckland
Pay Rate: $31 – $37 per hour
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 6 months of experience OR Level 4 qualification

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and control operations of the company’s road freight fleet
  • Plan and implement transportation schedules for goods delivery
  • Liaise with clients to determine requirements and resolve complaints
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and NZTA regulations
  • Oversee purchase and maintenance of vehicles, equipment, and fuel
  • Maintain operational records and prepare reports
  • Arrange collection and delivery of goods and vehicles
  • Monitor fleet performance and implement efficiency improvements
  • Manage driver rosters and ensure adherence to fatigue management rules
  • Develop cost-control strategies and monitor budgets
  • Ensure goods are stored and transported under quality standards
  • Handle bookings and coordinate dispatch activities
  • Train and supervise staff on operational procedures and safety
  • Implement GPS and tracking systems for fleet monitoring
