Truck Driver

The key responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

·      Driving heavy vehicles in Tauranga. Required to drive within a radius of 250 Kilometres.

·      Loading and unloading freight from commercial businesses.

·      Ensuring compliance with vehicle load limits and safety regulations.

·      Completing the necessary paperwork as required under legislation and business procedures.

·      Delivering goods to specified customers within a specified time frame.

·      Maintaining the truck in a clean and tidy condition to comply with the standard industry requirements;

·      Filling the log book daily and handing in a copy on a fortnightly basis to the office.

·      Picking up the manifest/paperwork from dispatch for delivery.

·      Maintaining the vehicle carefully and letting the management know of any issues

·      Compliance with the relevant regulations

Skills and experience required:

·      Physically fit, as the job involves frequent jumping up and down from the truck, and Heavy lifting

·      The successful candidate must hold at least a class 5 driver's licence (or overseas equivalent)

·      Ability to work unsupervised

·      Ability to pass drug and criminal history checks if required

·      Must be available Monday to Saturday for rostered shift work.

·      Able to stay away overnight.

·      References and work history are required.

·      Should be able to drive forklifts

Minimum of 30 hours a week.
