About the Company

Hello Vietnam Limited operates a Vietnamese restaurant in Auckland, offering authentic Vietnamese dishes to our customers. We are currently seeking Chefs to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Plan menus featuring authentic Vietnamese dishes.

·       Estimate food and labour costs to achieve budget targets.

·       Order and manage food supplies to maintain stock levels and reduce waste.

·       Oversee and maintain the quality of dishes at all stages—from ingredient preparation to final presentation.

·       Prepare and cook Vietnamese cuisine using traditional techniques and flavours.

·       Freeze, preserve, and store foods appropriately.

·       Discuss menu planning and preparation issues with Managers, kitchen staff, and waiting staff.

·       Demonstrate cooking techniques and advise on preparation procedures.

·       Select, train, and supervise kitchen staff as required.

·       Explain, implement, and enforce hygiene and food-safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet one of the following:

·       A relevant NZQF Level 5 Diploma qualification or higher; or

·       At least two years of relevant work experience.

Other Skills Required

·       Knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and hygiene standards.

·       Strong leadership, communication, and time-management skills.

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
