We are looking for three (3) bakers to join our small team. The position is fulltime and can start straight away. Hours are flexible and may include night shifts and weekends depending on the job orders. We guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : 

  • Check the diary and clipboards for any upcoming special or extra orders and liaise with the Production Foreman or Office refarding extra raw materials needed or shift time changes
  • Check the cleanliness and operation of the premises before production runs to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
  • Follow the production schedules and produce bread and cakes ensuring production meets consistency, quality and quantity requirements with minimum wastage within the expected production times
  • Operate any required machines which roll and mould doughs and then prepare doughs for bread, pastries and all calkes as per production lists including breads, croissants and pastry items. This may include kneading, maturing, cutting, moulding, mixing and shaping dough and pastry goods. Prove breads and croissants products where necessary and glaze, finish and bake
  • Ensure correct numbers are made and baked off ready for delivery overnight to ensure there is limited waste. Monitor the temperature of ovens and the appearance of products being baked to determine the baking times. Cool batches of bread, rolls and pastry products.

QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR EXPERIENCES : 

Has at least Level 4 qualification OR at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications listed above. In some instances relevant experience and/or on-the-job- training may be required in addition to the formal qualification.

HOURS : Minimum guaranteed hours of 30 per week

HOURLY RATE OR SALARY BAND : $29.66 to $32.00
