Udey Distributors Limited is seeking a reliable Class 5 truck driver to join our team at Udey Distributors Ltd in Auckland. The job is full time with minimum 32 hours and additional hours available up to 40 max.Suitable applicant will be paid $30/hour.

You will be responsible for:

  • Transport goods, materials, and equipment from one location to another using a truck.
  • Follow all traffic rules and regulations, including speed limits, weight restrictions, and road signs.
  • Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently, including securing the load and checking for damages or missing items.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking for mechanical issues, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including invoices, bills of lading, and delivery receipts.
  •  Communicate with dispatchers, other drivers, and customers to ensure efficient and timely deliveries.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment, such as reflective vests and hard hats, as necessary
  • Report any accidents or incidents to the appropriate authorities, such as law enforcement or the employer.
  • May be required to travel out of Auckland as a part of role.

What we are looking for: 

  • Clean driving record- Heavy Drivers Licence.
  • Good customer service skills for interactions with clients.
  • Ability to maintain the vehicle, including cleaning and refuelling.
  • Must have a can-do attitude.
  •  Ability to commit to working in late evenings and weekend.
