We are seeking skilled and reliable Painters with knowledge of wood finishing and surface coating to join our team. 

Experience in residential and commercial painting is preferred. 

Key Responsibilities 

- Preparation, sanding, filling, and sealing of wooden surfaces such as doors, windows, decks, fences, and frames 

- Application of wood stains, varnishes, sealers, and protective coatings on cedar and other timber - Repairing and restoring damaged wood before painting or staining 

- Mixing and matching paints, stains, and finishes to achieve required colour and texture - Performing surface finishing and polishing to enhance wood grain appearance - Interior and exterior painting including walls, ceilings, trims and wooden structures - Roof painting and cleaning preparation 

- Interior plastering and surface smoothening before paint 

- Water blasting of exterior surfaces prior to painting 

- Deck and fence staining, varnishing and weatherproof coating 

- Painting and coating interior and exterior timber joinery and structures 

- Maintaining brushes, sprayers, and woodworking tools 

- Ensuring high-quality workmanship and a clean, safe worksite 

Requirements 

  • At least 1 to 2 years of experience in wood painting, staining, timber finishing, or wood surface preparation is preferred; OR a relevant trade qualification in woodworking, carpentry, polishing, or wood finishing.
  • Hands-on experience preparing, sanding, repairing, and sealing wooden surfaces. 
  • Familiarity with painting tools, spray guns, stains, varnishes, wood protective coatings and wood finishing materials
  • Ability to mix and apply paints, stains, and finishes to achieve required colour and texture.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality workmanship
  • Good communication skills and ability to work independently or in a small team.
