MOTOR MECHANIC

Job Details:

• Location: Auckland, New Zealand
• Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Hours of Work: Minimum 30 hours per week (guaranteed)
• Roster may include weekdays, weekends or rotating shifts
• Pay Rate: NZD $28.00 – $35.00 per hour (depending on experience and skill level)

Job Description – Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose and repair mechanical issues in petrol and diesel vehicles

• Perform routine servicing, maintenance and mechanical checks

• Identify faults using diagnostic equipment and determine required repairs

• Repair or replace vehicle components such as brakes, suspension, engines, transmissions and steering systems

• Conduct road tests to verify repairs completed

• Maintain accurate service records and follow workplace health and safety procedures

• Ensure high-quality workmanship and customer service at all times

Minimum Skills, Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Relevant mechanical qualification (e.g., Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent) OR

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience as a Motor Mechanic

• Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Good communication skills

• Full training on specific workshop systems will be provided if required
