We are a family-owned agricultural contracting business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality baling and feed sales services to farms across the region. With growing demand, we are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Procurement Manager to streamline our purchasing operations and support our continued growth.
The Role
As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing all feed product and services necessary to keep our baling and contracting operations running efficiently. You will work closely with our manager, administrator, and field teams to ensure a consistent supply of a high-quality product for our existing clients, while continuing to build our supplier and customer base.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies tailored to seasonal agricultural operations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and clients
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service terms to ensure best-value procurement
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to minimise downtime
- Monitor market trends and product innovations relevant to baling equipment and feed supply
- Maintain accurate procurement records and support budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety standards
About You
- Bachelor's degree, higher qualification or minimum of 5 years relevant experience in an agriculture related industry
- Strong negotiation and supplier-management skills
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- Good understanding of agricultural machinery (baling equipment a strong advantage)
- Ability to work under pressure during peak seasons
- Proficiency with procurement or stock-management systems
- Full NZ driving licence (or relevant local equivalent)

- Competitive salary based on experience, range $70,000 to $90,000
