Position Title: Outdoor Crop Production Supervisor
Number of Positions: 2
Location: Bay of Plenty
Pay Rate: $28 – $36 per hour 
Hours of Work: 30 – 40 hours per week

Key Requirements

  • 2 Years of Experience OR Level 4 qualification 

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily crop production activities across orchards.
  • Monitor plant health, irrigation systems, and pest/disease control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and company protocols.
  • Train and guide orchard workers on best horticultural practices.
  • Plan and implement seasonal orchard work programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of crop performance and operational activities.
  • Liaise with management to report progress and resolve operational issues.
  • Oversee use and maintenance of orchard machinery and equipment.
  • Manage workforce scheduling and task allocation for efficiency.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure high crop standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist supervisors in managing orchard operations and seasonal tasks.
  • Lead small teams for pruning, thinning, harvesting, and general maintenance.
  • Operate and maintain horticultural tools and equipment safely.
  • Monitor work quality and report issues to supervisors.
  • Support training of new staff and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
  • Coordinate daily work schedules for team members.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of harvested crops.
  • Implement orchard hygiene and pest control measures.
  • Maintain records of work completed and report progress.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to achieve targets.
