We are looking for experience Thai Cooks who will be working with our team to produce authentic Thai food. 

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of related work experience OR

  • At least a related NZ Register Diploma Level 4 qualification may substitute for the experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification) OR

  • The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Thai Cook or Thai Chef) from Thailand
    AND

  • Knowledge of Thai food cooking techniques 

Job Descriptions

  • Checking food products to ensure they meet quality standards

  • Adjusting and monitoring temperatures on ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment

  • Cooking and preparing a variety of dishes

  • Seasoning food as it cooks to enhance flavour

  • Portioning, plating, and adding sauces or garnishes before serving meals

  • Storing ingredients and dishes in proper temperature-controlled conditions

  • Preparing meals tailored to specific dietary requirements

  • Assisting with menu planning and calculating ingredient needs

  • Providing guidance and training to junior kitchen staff or apprentices

Other detail

  • This is a full-time and permanent position

  • Wages range from $26 to $35 per hour, depending on your skills and experience, and are paid weekly. 

  • Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

  • You will be working at 21 Te Mata Road, Havelock North, Hastings 4130

  • You will work according to a roster 5 - 6 days each week, with a guarantee of 30 hours (a maximum of 48 hours)
