Requirements 

• At least 2 years of experience working in an authentic Thai Massage business, OR

• A related qualification (at NZ Register Certificate level 4 or higher, overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification), OR

• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Traditional Thai Massage) from Thailand

Job Descriptions

  • Deliver therapeutic Thai massage treatments: Perform high-quality traditional Thai massage techniques to address clients’ health concerns, ease muscle tension, alleviate discomfort, and support overall relaxation and wellbeing.

  • Assess clients’ needs: Carry out consultations to understand each client’s symptoms, medical background, and desired outcomes. Monitor their physical condition before and during sessions to identify areas of tightness or discomfort.

  • Design personalised treatment programs: Develop customised massage plans that align with each client’s specific needs, preferences, and wellness goals.

  • Maintain accurate client records: Document treatment details, client progress, and any health information with accuracy and in accordance with privacy and confidentiality requirements.

  • Provide aftercare and wellness guidance: Advise clients on stretching, posture, relaxation practices, and other self-care methods to support their recovery between appointments.

  • Prepare and maintain treatment areas: Keep massage rooms and equipment clean, sanitised, and well-organised before and after each session, including handling linens, supplies, and tools.

• This is a full-time and permanent position

•Wage payment is between $28 and $35 per hour, depending on your skills and experience, and you will be paid weekly

• Holiday pay and sick leave will be paid according to the law

• You will be working at Unit 3/115 Avenue Road East, Hastings 4122

•You will be working between 9:45 am and 7:30 pm according to a roster, 5–6 days each week, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 48 hours per week.
