Position Purpose

The primary responsibility for a Beauty Therapist is to provide a range of professional skin and body care treatments, tailored to meet the individual needs of each client.  

Requirements

·       Having at least 2 years of working experience as a Beauty Therapist

·       Must have over 1 year of experience doing eyelash services

·       Qualified to practice in New Zealand as a Registered Cosmetic Teeth Whitening Practitioner

Key Activities 

Core Clinical & Treatment Services

·       Conduct thorough client consultations to discuss needs, analyse skin characteristics, and advise on suitable treatments and homecare.

·       Perform a comprehensive range of facial and skin-care therapies, including advanced treatments.

·       Execute body treatments such as massage, wraps, and exfoliation.

·       Provide hair removal services through waxing, tinting, and other methods.

·       Carry out manicure, pedicure, and nail technology services, including basic nail art and enhancements.

Client Care & Sales Support

·       Build strong client relationships through exceptional service, follow-up, and personalised advice.

·       Provide expert recommendations and retail cosmetic, skincare, and wellness products.

·       Manage appointment bookings, update client records accurately, and handle inquiries.

Health, Safety & Hygiene Compliance

·       Maintain the highest standards of clinical hygiene, sanitation, and sterilisation in all treatments and tools.

·       Adhere to all workplace health and safety (WHS/HSWA) policies and procedures.

·       Ensure treatment areas are clean, tidy, and restocked according to salon protocols.

Team Contribution & Collaboration

·       Work collaboratively with salon team members and management to achieve salon goals.

·       Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, professional work environment.

·       Assist with general salon upkeep and shared duties.

Continuous Professional Development

·       Actively participate in training sessions for new products, technologies, and treatment techniques.

·       Evaluate new beauty therapy processes and products and provide constructive feedback.

·       Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to enhance service offerings.
