Landscaper

We are seeking experienced and passionate Landscape Gardeners to create stunning backyards and civil projects in the Northland area.

As a Landscape Gardener, you are key to our success – working as part of a team and reporting to a Team Leader, you'll do everything from site set-out to planting, timber work, lawn care and much more. The responsibilities are dependent on the project work that we have available.

If you have a strong work ethic, solid experience and are a team player who enjoys being on the tools and in the garden then apply now! This is a full-time permanent position with an hourly rate ranging from $30to $35, depending on skills and experience, on a standard 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: 

• Landscape Construction - you install hard scapes and/or soft scapes to our clients'

specifications. Depending on the project and your skills, that can include planting,

mulching, timber works, concreting, paving, and installing irrigation.

• Quality - your work is of the highest standard; you are thorough and take pride in

doing well. What you don't know yet, you'll learn from your Team Leader or Site

Manager.

• Health & Safety - you make sure you and your workmates go home unharmed

every day.

• Team Work - our landscapers work in teams of 2-5 and support each other.

You'll be an active team member, by having each other's back, while having all

the support from the Team Leader in maintaining great relationships with clients.

About You:

You’ll have a passion for landscaping, have a strong work ethic and enjoy being on the

tools and in the garden. You're a team player, willing to learn and ideally already have

some experience. You will also have considerable experience in gardening and handling tools and get immense satisfaction from completing a project and

pleasing clients. You will enjoy sharing your knowledge with others and are adept at

communicating and collaborating with your team, clients, and contractors.

Requirements:

• 3+ years' experience in Landscaping or similar.
• Softscaping – basic knowledge of plants, Trees especially natives, Soil composition, weed identification, pest control etc 
• A good level of fitness and communication skills – you’ll be actively moving and
• lifting all day.
• Willingness to learn and grow
• A commitment to health and safety practices that creates a safe working
• environment for the team and others on site
• Clean driver's license
• Have valid rights to work in New Zealand

Advantageous but not essential:

• Site safe certification
• First Aid certificatation
• Carpentry and concreting experience
• Ability to drive a Manual vehicle
