Work Location: Auckland region

Employment type: Full time (minimum 45 hours/per week, Monday to Friday), Permanent role

Your pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour depending on your skills.

Mutual Construction Limited is a construction company based in Auckland.

We are now looking for 1 Quantity Surveyor to join our supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right people and will allow access into a reputable and experienced company.

Tasks you may carry out:

·       Review and study the architectural and engineering drawings to measure and estimate the quantities and qualities requirements

·       Prepare detailed estimations and reports on material and labour costs and budgets plans for construction projects

·       Carefully check material, labour. subcontracting and other relevant building costs to ensure the best deal

·       Study reports and do cost calculations effectively and accurately

·       Liaise with site managers, customers, contractors and subcontractors to achieve favourable outcome

·       Prepare reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments and other documents as required

·       Advise managers and clients on improvements and new strategies.

·       Keep track of materials and order more when needed.

·       Record any changes in the design and update the budget plan.

·       Establish and maintain professional relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

·       Work from the office to various locations as needed to monitor the progress

To be successful you will need:

• Be a great team player, be able to follow instructions

·       Good eye for details and an ability to solve problems practically

• Have at least 2 years solid relevant experience, or
• Have a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in QS or construction related field
