Come join our Painting and Finishing team!

Our growing painting company is looking for experienced, reliable and hardworking Painters to join our team for upcoming projects across Auckland.

We offer a competitive hourly rate of $30–$40, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Days & Hours of Work: Monday to Sunday between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM

Tasks include:

  •  Experienced painter working on interior and exterior residential or commercial projects in areas in Auckland.
  • Can work on new builds and heritage homes. 
  • Measure the areas that need new flooring and check plans to work out how much material is required.
  • Inspect, prepare, and clean surfaces by removing dirt, cracks, and imperfections prior to painting. repairing woodwork, filling holes and cracks, smoothing the surface, and taking off baseboard trims.
  • Measure, cut, and install underlay materials.
  • Lay flooring or carpet, match patterns, cut around fixtures, and trim the edges neatly.
  • Set up ventilators, ensure proper ventilation and worksite safety at all times.
  • Protect surrounding areas, including floors, doors, and furniture, and remove fixtures before commencing work.
  • Prepare walls and other surfaces by scraping, sanding, and removing old paint coatings.
  • Mix paints to the right colour by combining pigments, oil, thinners, and drying agents.
  • Apply primers, paints, sealers, and decorative finishes to various structures using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
  • Works in a clean meticulous manner, leaving the site tidy at the end of the day/project
  • Aware of Health & Safety requirements and working at heights, confident to discuss with the team leader if any concerns
  • All materials, equipment and uniforms provided.
  • Support of team leaders on-site to guide and manage workflow
  • Be able to work autonomously if required. (Most work is carried out as a team)
  • Plastering experience is a bonus but not essential.

What we're looking for:

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience in painting.
  • Demonstrated expertise in surface preparation and the application of various paint and finish types
  •  Familiarity with painting techniques and equipment
  • Be able to work from Monday to Sunday when we need to finish before the project deadline
  • Construction Sites may assign a urine and drug test anytime if needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable, honest, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
