Hiko Electrical and Hiko Air are looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to join our growing Papamoa-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-respected, locally owned Master Electrician and HVAC specialist with an awesome team culture and a pipeline of exciting projects across Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty.
 
About the Role: Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Technician (Start Jan/Feb 2026)
You'll ensure local homes and businesses stay cool, efficient, and safe. Install, service, and maintain HVAC systems, including heat pumps, ventilation, and air-conditioning units. No two days are the same, and you'll have the chance to work on a variety of interesting projects, from new installations to high-end system servicing.

What We're Looking For
  • HVAC installation experience
  • Commercial HVAC and/or refrigeration systems experience also welcome
  • Trade certs/rego in Electrical, HVAC, or Refrigeration Engineering is an advantage
  • Knowledge of NZ health & safety, compliance, and commissioning requirements
  • A problem-solver with strong technical and diagnostic skills
  • Full NZ driver's licence (manual + auto)
  • Great attitude, customer service focus, and willingness to learn and grow
