ORCHID PAINTERS LIMITED provides professional painting services across the Auckland region. We are currently seeking multiple skilled Painters to join our team. The ideal candidates will be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality finishes on every project.
This role may involve travel within the region, and all associated travel and fuel expenses will be covered by the employer.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and clean surfaces by removing old paint, dirt, and debris.
• Repair cracks, holes, and imperfections using fillers and sandpaper.
• Mix and match paints, stains, and varnishes to achieve the desired colour and finish.
• Apply primers, undercoats, and finishing coats using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
• Paint, stain, or varnish building surfaces, both interior and exterior, as per specifications.
• Hang and finish wallpaper or wall coverings where required.
• Set up and use ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment correctly.
• Protect floors, furniture, and fixtures using drop sheets and masking materials.
• Clean and maintain tools, brushes, and equipment after each job.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and company quality standards.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $30 to $37 per hour.
Other requirements for the role:
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience,
• Available to work on weekends.
• Physically fit to meet the demands of the role, including standing for long periods and performing manual tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.
• Reliable, punctual, and maintain a positive and professional attitude.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
