The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to take ownership of planning, delivering, and closing out a wide range of civil and infrastructure projects.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll manage multiple sites, coordinate resources, work closely with clients, ensure compliance with NZ safety and quality standards, and keep projects running on time and on budget.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project Planning & Financial Management

  • Interpreting client briefs, technical drawings, and specifications
  • Developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, and tender submissions
  • Monitoring expenditure, managing variations, and ensuring financial close-out

Operational Leadership

  • Coordinating labour, plant, and materials across several active sites
  • Overseeing linemarking, surface preparation, asphalt/pothole repairs, and installation works
  • Troubleshooting delays, risks, and technical challenges in real time

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Enforcing HSWA requirements and creating SWMS for all project activities
  • Conducting site inspections and quality audits
  • Ensuring compliance with NZTA, council, environmental, and traffic management standards

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Leading communication with clients, contractors, and suppliers
  • Providing clear updates, managing scope changes, and delivering exceptional service
  • Using professional fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese to engage with diverse stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

Essential:

  • 3–5+ years’ experience in construction project management
  • Bachelor of Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience delivering civil or infrastructure projects end-to-end
  • Strong knowledge of NZ construction standards, codes, and HSWA
  • Ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and run multi-site operations
  • Professional fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (written & verbal)
