Safety Nets NZ (Christchurch) Limited is seeking to fill up to three positions for Safety Net Installers across our two sites in the Central Otago and Canterbury regions.
With our ever-increasing workload, we are seeking suitably motivated people to join us at New Zealand’s leading provider of fall arrest safety net systems.
This position is a full-time, permanent role working a minimum of 40 hours per week.
The role is based in Wanaka, but due to the nature of the role, you would be required to work on various sites across the region.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
You would be part of a professional and dedicated team that prides itself on providing the best possible level of service to all its clients.
The responsibilities for a Safety Net Installer include:
- · installing and dismantling of safety nets on industrial and building sites
- · fitting brackets to framing so as not to impact builders’ works
- · working with other contractors to ensure the site meets safety standards
- · providing customers with outstanding service and communication
- · working on site in all weather
Desirable skills for an installer include:
- · ability to work confidently at heights
- · excellent hand-eye coordination
- · good level of physical fitness
- · awareness of health and safety
- · ability to understand technical drawings and plans
- · good written and verbal communication skills
- a full driver’s licence
Requirements:
- At least 2 years relevant work experience
- · Work Experience should include rigging of safety nets, and/or scaffolding experience
- · A reliable and motivated team player
- · The ability to communicate well in a construction environment
