the tattoo artist is responsible for delivering high-quailty,safe ,and custom tattoo service while maintaining excellent client care and adherence to all hygiene and regulatory standards.the role requires strong artistic ability ,technical skill ,and a commitment to creating a positive experience for every client .
●Create original tattoo designs based on client consultations and artistic expertise.
●Execute tattoos with precision, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and professional technique.
●Maintain strict hygiene protocols, including sterilisation of equipment and safe disposal of materials.
●Provide clear pre- and post-care instructions to clients.
●Manage bookings, client records, consent forms, and other documentation as required
.●Uphold studio standards, including cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health regulations.
●Develop and maintain a professional portfolio showcasing artistic range and technical skill.
●Engage in ongoing learning to remain current with industry trends, tools, and safety practices.
●Support a collaborative and respectful studio environment.Skills and Qualifications
●Proven professional experience as a Tattoo Artist with a strong portfolio of
completed work.
●Knowledge of skin anatomy, colour theory, and tattooing techniques.
●Knowledge of blood-borne pathogen safety and compliance with relevant health regulations.
●Excellent artistic and interpersonal communication skills.
●Ability to work independently and manage appointments effectively.
●High level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to client safety.Preferred Attributes
●Experience in multiple tattoo styles (e.g., fine line, realism, traditional, geometric).
●Familiarity with digital design tools and tattoo equipment advancements.
●Strong customer service orientation and ability to build lasting client

• Pay rate: $30.00 per hour
• Minimum guaranteed hours: 30 hours per week
• Location of work: Dreamhands Tattoo Studio, AucklandMinimum Skills and Experience Required
• Minimum of two years’ professional experience as a Tattoo Artist with a portfolio of completed work
• Knowledge of tattooing techniques, skin anatomy, colour theory, and safe work practices
• Understanding of blood-borne pathogen safety and health regulations
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide clear client guidance
• Ability to work independently and manage appointments effectively
•Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Ability to obtain a New Zealand Police Clearance or equivalent overseas police certificate
