Wanted Production Supervisor – Meat Processing (Day & Night Shift)

Work Location: Auckland region

Employment type: Full time (guaranteed 30 hours minimum & 50 hours Maximum / per week)

Our pay: $28.00 to $38.00 per hour (Based on your ability & capability)

To enhance our team, we are now looking for 3 Production Supervisor- Meat Processing to join our team. We are expecting someone who has a passion for attention to details, ability to multi-task and be a proactive member of the team.

You will need to have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in the same field or industry OR have a relevant level 4 equivalent qualification/certificate or higher or have a bachelor degree. If none, training will be provided.

Tasks Include:

Support director by executing the daily operational plans and strategies to meet current demand.

 

Supervise production staff, ensuring cohesive teamwork and adherence to company policies, while fostering a productive and positive work environment.

 

Implement quality control protocols under the guidance of the director  to ensure all meat products comply with health and safety regulations as well as company quality standards.

 

Collaborate with the other supervisors and director if needed  to coordinate daily production schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and alignment with inventory needs.

 

Identify areas for operational efficiencies and suggest process improvements to the director that enhance productivity and reduce waste.

 

Help manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products in both shops, reporting any discrepancies or supply issues to the other supervisor and director.

 

Maintain and enforce safety standards and practices within the production areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements as set by the director.

 

Conduct training sessions for new hires and existing staff on meat processing techniques and safety protocols, as directed by the director .

 

Monitor the performance of production machinery and equipment, notifying the director of any major maintenance needs or operational issues.

 

Generate and submit reports on production metrics, quality control observations, and personnel performance to the director for review and decision-making.

 

Assist in responding to customer inquiries or feedback regarding product quality, collaborating with the director to address any concerns effectively.

 

Aid the director in tracking production costs and implementing budgetary measures to ensure fiscal responsibility in operations.

 

Ensure that the production areas remain clean and organized according to health regulations, reporting any issues to the manager promptly.

 

Assist in problem-solving any operational issues that arise during shifts, reporting significant matters to the director for resolution.
