Sharma Produce Limited is successfully running its operations for the past 14 years in New Zealand. The Job location will be in Pokeno, Waikato. You will be working from Monday to Friday as per roster. You will be working minimum of 30 hours and Maximum of 35 hours per week. You may require working sometime for long hours on weekends / Public holidays.

 

Job Responsibilities

·       Nurturing plants by watering, weeding, pruning, mulching, and controlling pests.

·       Plant vegetable gardens using hand tools and farm machines

·       Assisting with loading and assembling of orders as required.

·       Perform duties related to grading and packing of plants

·       Invoicing orders

·       Responsible for grafting and sowing of plants

·       Prepare cultivate and fertilize land

·       Grade plants / crops to specification

·       Monitoring temperature, humidity and soils and controlling of watering systems.

·       Bagging of plants in various sized containers (some heavy), placed in growing areas to mature prior to selling.

·       Applying fertilizers and pesticides and ensure that the correct number of fertilizers are applied.

·       Ensure any chemical application is done in accordance with OSH regulations and label

·       specification and inform management to keep accurate records.

·       Take part in the development and refurbishment of nursery areas.

·       Ensure compliance of health & safety regulations of the company

Job Requirements

 

·       To be successful you must have at least two years of relevant Work Experience in Horticulture Field or at least Level 4 or Higher diploma qualification in Horticulture

·       Have passion for outdoor work.

·       Punctual, reliable, and honest

·       Able to work shift rotations, weekends included.

·       Work well in a Team.

·       Alert and safety conscious.

·       Able to cope with the physical demands of the job

 

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $25 to $30 per hour.
