Looking for confident Security Guard and patrolling Officer with strong communication skills to ensure safety, ptotect property and provide excellent customer service skills at our client sites.

Experience preferred but not essential. Full time training will be provided.

Hours of Work- Min. 30 to 45 hours per week.

Pay rate- 25 $ to 30 $ per hour depending on experience.

You will be working as part of a well-knit and diverse team and handle security arrangements for our clients at events, on-site, alarm monitoring, patrolling and so on. You are excellent attention to detail, planning, time management, be well presented and strong communication skills. 
Training and support will be provided

Your main tasks will be:

Inspecting and patrolling properties on agreed intervals or as required.

Protect people and property.

Respond to alarms and distress.

Looking out for suspicious persons and hazards.

Must be professional, reliable, confident & honest.

Strong focus on delivering high quality security-solutions.

Physical fitness - able to walk and stand for long periods of time.

Conduct routine patrol and spot check premises.

Gather information and complete reports and maintain confidentiality.

Conduct regular walk-through and security inspections for assigned jobs.

Escort unwelcome persons from the property

Visually inspect equipment’s or machines

Any other duties that may be asked from time to time.

  • Must have 1 year work experience in Security but not essential
  • Must be flexible and available on weekends, late nights, public holidays etc.
  • Ability to provide at least two positive references.
  • Physically fit and healthy and able to handle stress
  • Strong communication skills are essential as the role ensures smooth interaction with customers, staff management as well as clear reporting of any security issues
  • Must have valid NZ driver license OR equivalent overseas driving license that allows to drive in NZ .
  • Must pass pre-employment checks if required and clean criminal history
  • Applicants for this position should preferably have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
