Slavic Treasures Ltd is a Hamilton-based FMCG company with branches in Wellington and Christchurch. Our main activity is the import and distribution of beer, biscuits and confectionery.

We require a logistics superstar to oversee operations at our Christchurch warehouse. We are a dynamic company with a growing workforce, so flexibility and the ability to assist where needed under tight deadlines are key.

You may be responsible for:

       Managing the operations of our Christchurch warehouse.

       Developing policies and practices that optimise the efficiency and safety of our warehouse and logistics operations.

       Ensuring inventory levels are appropriately maintained. Operating recording systems to track all movements of supplies and finished goods, and ensuring re-ordering and re-stocking at optimal times

       Optimising warehouse operations through applying rigorous maintenance and security systems and protocols to meet supply requirements and control stock levels

  • Warehouse staff management, including recruitment, training, supervision, scheduling workflows to meet deadlines and discipline as required.

       negotiating contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements

       liaising with other departments and customers concerning requirements for outward goods and associated forwarding transportation

Skills and experience for the role:

  •        Two years of relevant work experience or a relevant tertiary Qualification
  •        An intimate understanding of FMCG and supermarket supply chain systems.
  •        A strong understanding of relevant laws that govern the transportation, exportation, storage and handling of food in New Zealand.
  •        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  •        Strong organisational skills.
  •        The ability to get on with a wide variety of people.
  •        A forklift license would be beneficial
  •        Computer proficiency.
  •        Free from drug and criminal history. Background checks may be required.
  •        Ability to work in weekends

Must be a NZ resident/citizen or have the legal right to work in NZ full-time. Please specify this in your application. 

Minimum 30 hours a week.

Pay rate:$26.00-$31.00 per hour.
