METAL FABRICATOR

We are seeking for one motivated METAL FABRICATOR to join our team.

You will be paid an hourly rate of $30.00-$40.00 depending on your experience and skill level.

You will be working in Auckland. This role will be a permanent, full-time position and will be guaranteed 30 hours of work per week from Monday to Saturday but can be up to 50 hours weekly.

Paid weekly, 4 weeks annual leave, Statutory holidays, Sick and bereavement leave. Opportunities to upskill.

Candidates need to be able to start immediately and work lawfully in New Zealand

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

The position is responsible for the following:

Mark off, cut and fabricate the aluminium and other structural steel and metal to make

and assemble windows, doors and other steel structures.

Tasks Include:

• Interpreting drawings and reading and understanding all instructions before

starting each job

• Identifying and selecting the right materials, cleaning and preparing metal stock

• Cutting marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools,flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines

• Fitting and assembling metal components

• Fabricating parts together and metal finishing as specified

• Attaching fittings and completing the product build

• Quality checks on completed products

• Cleaning the product and completing final quality checks againstspecifications

• At all times using supplied PPE

• Keeping work stations clean, tidy and safe

The successful candidate must have:

-At least two years relevant experience or Level 4 Qualification on this field

-Regular and reliable attendance

-Physically fit and able to handle the heavy workload

-Quality workmanship and eye for detail

-Commitment to health and workplace safety

-Strong ability to work independently

-Able to pass health, drug and criminal checks if required
