🚢 Oiler| Full-Time | Canterbury

We are seeking a skilled Oiler to support our crew in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all vessel machinery and technical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Chief Engineer in carrying out maintenance and repair work

  • Maintaining the engine room - Maintain, lubricate, clean engine room machinery 

  • Perform watchkeeping duties
  • Monitoring gauges, pressure, temporature 
  • Assist engineers with repairs and overhauls
  • Ensure smooth operation of propulsion systems, engines, pumps, generators 
  • Adhere to strict safety and environmental requirements 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role on commercial vessels

  • Strong knowledge of marine engines, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment

  • Excellent teamwork and problem-solving skills

  • Willing to travel and be away from home
