Target Cleaning Supplies is a long-established supplier of commercial cleaning products, equipment, and essential consumables to businesses across Auckland. Our warehouse, delivery operations, and customer service team work together to ensure our clients always receive timely, accurate, and reliable support. Due to business growth, we are looking for a Service Manager to help coordinate operational activities, maintain strong customer relationships, and support service efficiency.

About the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the smooth delivery of our services and ensuring customers receive consistent and high-quality support. You will be involved in coordinating orders, managing product availability, communicating with clients, and improving operational processes. This is a hands-on role suitable for someone who enjoys working across operations, customer service, and workflow coordination.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily service operations, including order scheduling, follow-ups, and ensuring timely delivery of cleaning products to clients.
  • Monitor stock levels, arrange purchasing when required, and support warehouse staff to ensure product availability.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock movement, customer orders, staff hours, and basic financial/operational data.
  • Communicate courteously with customers via phone, email, and in person to handle enquiries, provide product information, and manage service expectations.
  • Assist with developing and reviewing service procedures, customer service guidelines, and operational policies.
  • Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally, ensuring issues are recorded and followed up properly.
  • Conduct occasional site visits or quality checks to ensure service commitments are met.
  • Support new staff with product knowledge, company procedures, and safety practices.
  • Ensure safe operation, chemical handling, and workplace compliance with health and safety requirements.
  • Monitor competitor offerings and assist with basic pricing or promotional initiatives when needed.

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

  • A qualification equivalent to a New Zealand Level 6 Diploma or higher, in Management, Operations Management, or a closely related field.
  • At least 1 year of relevant customer-service or client-facing work experience.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive customer relationships.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • Basic computer literacy (email, MS Office, data entry).

Desirable:

  • Experience within product supply, warehousing, logistics, cleaning products, or service coordination roles.
  • Familiarity with stock control, order processing, or health and safety procedures.

 

What We Offer

  • Hourly rate: NZD $34–$36 per hour, based on experience.
  • Guaranteed 35–40 hours per week.
