Production Manager
About the role
GC Stone Ltd is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and manage daily production operations for customised stone benchtops and renovation projects. This role is responsible for coordinating production workflows, supervising teams, ensuring quality standards, and delivering projects on time as the business continues to grow.
Key responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and manage daily production activities across fabrication and installation projects
Supervise workshop and site staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality output
Monitor production progress, materials usage, and job timelines
Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and client specifications
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors regarding materials and scheduling
Manage inventory levels and oversee ordering of stone materials and consumables
Enforce workplace health and safety policies and procedures
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste
Skills and experience required
Proven experience in a production management, operations, or supervisory role
Strong organisational and team leadership skills
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications
Sound understanding of production planning, scheduling, and quality control
Good communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving approach
