We provide high-quality travel services to clients across Asia and are now seeking a talented and motivated Marketing Specialist to support our continued growth, strengthen our presence in key Asian markets, and respond to emerging market trends, particularly in the promotion of cruise travel.
About the Role
As a Marketing Specialist, you will play a key role in developing and executing marketing strategies that promote our travel products, enhance brand awareness, and expand our reach within the Asian tourism sector. You will work closely with our sales, product, and operations teams to deliver compelling campaigns tailored to the preferences and trends of Asian travelers.
What we offer:
Full-time permanent roles - 30 minimum guaranteed work hour per week
The rate of pay or salary: $30.00/hr - $35.00/hr before tax depending on depending on backgrounds and experience
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, develop, and implement marketing campaigns across digital and offline channels
- Create engaging content in English and/or Asian languages for social media, websites, brochures, and promotional materials
- Manage and grow the company’s social media presence, especially on platforms popular in Asian markets
- Conduct market research to identify tourism trends, competitor activities, and customer insights
- Collaborate with tour partners, travel agencies, and industry organizations to promote New Zealand travel experiences
- Coordinate marketing activities, trade shows, and partnership events targeting Asian audiences
- Analyse campaign performance and prepare marketing reports to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure consistency of brand messaging across all marketing communications
Skills & Experience Required
- A Bachelor degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of two years of proven relevant marketing experience.
- A strong understanding of Asian market trends, particularly within the cruise business/sector, along with customer behaviour and cultural preferences; prior experience in the tourism or hospitality industry is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, social media management, and analytics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to produce high-quality marketing content
- Fluency in an Asian language (such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, or Korean) is highly preferred to effectively engage with our target market.
- Creative, organized, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
