This role plays a key function in delivering outstanding customer care as well as contributes to strengthening the construction team in the discharge of its duties and responsibilities. You will be working along with A team that brings a commitment to quality and personal service to every project they take on - whether it's a high-end home, commercial space, or a carefully considered home improvement. 

Main tasks: 
•    All Residential Work - Renovations & New Builds
•    To help on a variety of residential projects in Auckland and surrounding areas.
•    You will be working alongside other Carpenters on various new builds, renovation, and retrofits on properties across Auckland and surrounding areas.
•    This work will include all aspects of general and finishing carpentry on all residential sites.
•    Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records
•    Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine and vehicle users
•    Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary. Responsibilities:
•    Able to construct, erect, install, renovate, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials.
•    Renovation work improving living conditions of existing homes
•    Variety of building works /demo and retrofit building
•    Removing old walls, kitchens, bathrooms, windows, cladding
•    Gib fixing and finishing work
•    Customized carpentry works

Job Requirements: 
•    Ability to work in a team or autonomously
•    Valid site safe passport advantageous
•    Own set of hand and power tools needed
•    Ability to pass pre-employment drug & MOJ check

Skills and knowledge 
•    Building and carpentry skills
•    Knowledge of building methods and materials
•    Able to study building plans and architectural drawings
•    Select building materials and measure and cut materials to the right size and shape
•    Able to construct building frames and install cladding on the inside and outside of buildings
•    Install windows, staircases, and doors
•    Renovate and do repair work on older houses.
•    A basic level of math
•    Able to correctly use and maintain tools
•    An understanding of building and safety regulations.

Working conditions 
•    Usually work regular business hours, but may also need to work weekends and in the evenings as and when required
•    Work on building sites and in existing buildings
•    work in conditions that may be wet, muddy, dusty, noisy, cramped or at heights
•    travel locally to building sites.

Preferred Useful experience 
•    Draughting
•    woodwork
•    labouring on a construction site
•    Any other building trade experience.

Physical requirements 
Carpenters need to be reasonably fit, healthy, and strong as building work can involve a lot of heavy lifting.

Qualification OR Experience requirements 
Level 4 relevant qualification OR 
Minimum three years of relevant experience
