Paving Plant Operator

We are looking for permanent full-time Paving Plant Operators to join the crew.

• Competitive hourly rate $30-$40 ph for the right candidate
• Full-time, permanent role with guaranteed 40 hours a week. 

You will be joining one of the paving crews that are skilled in asphalt and work the majority of the time on public roads and motorways !

You'll be operating a range of equipment ranging from rollers, pavers, graders,tractor brooms and trucks. There is also the opportunity to up-skill within this department.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and oversee paving plant equipment to meet production requirements.

• Lead and coordinate plant operations and staff on site.

• Monitor quality and output to ensure projects meet specifications.

• Carry out routine maintenance and inspections of plant and equipment.

• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety procedures

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Minimum full Class 1 Drivers License or overseas equivalent
• Minimum 3-years’ experience in operating one or more of the following
  - Roller
  - Paver, Chip Sealing
  - Grader
  - Tractor Broom, Trucks 
• Prefer with knowledge on First Aid Qualification and Bitumen Safety course 
• Able to work nights / stay aways as required
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and the ability to think for yourself
• A high level of physical fitness due to the physical nature of the role
• Be reliable, honest and a flexible team player

The successful applicant will be required to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing along with a health check – you’ll need to be fit for work!
