  • Basic knowledge of operating hand tools such as angle grinders, kango/jack hammers, tile cutters etc and keen to learn to operate larger grinders and polished concrete tasks.
  • Must have full drivers licence, own transport to get to & from East Tamaki and can operate manual truck.
  • Site Safe pass is an advantage. If not, company will get the site safe pass training sorted for the right candidate.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and nights if required.
  • Must have NZ residency or a valid work visa. This position has the possibility of becoming long term if you prove yourself to be reliable and hard working
  • All PPE provided.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
 ● Uplifting of all types of floor materials such as tiles, carpets, lino, vinyl, timber and
 many more.
 ● Prep grinding of floor substrates with hand grinders and remote operated grinding
 machines.
 ● Site cleanup. Loading rubbish and dumping at the disposal site in a manual
 truck.
 ● Work with different sorts of tools and machineries relating to flooring works.
 ● Assist the main subcontractors with polished concrete tasks.
 ● Fill in a pre-start document for each job.
 ● Measure up areas after completion of each project.
 ● Understanding of and applying health and safety practices onsite and inhouse.
 ● Maintaining the safety logs of all the work vehicles.
 ● All other tasks as required by the management.

 

Successful applicant will have to be fully vaccinated.
