Job Description :
A busy and thriving Chinese restaurant in Auckland center is seeking one talented and passionate Chinese Chefs to join our dedicated team.
The role will include, but not limited to:

Prepare, cook, and present authentic Chinese cuisine in accordance with established recipes and standards

Plan menus and develop new dishes based on seasonal ingredients and customer demand

Ensure consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation
-
Prepare ingredients including cutting, marinating, seasoning, and portioning
-
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
-
Maintain a clean, hygienic, and well-organized kitchen in compliance with food safety regulations
-
Monitor food stock levels, order supplies when required, and minimize food waste
-
Supervise and train kitchen staff where necessary, including junior cooks and kitchen hands
-
Always Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and food hygiene standards

Manage cooking times to ensure timely service during busy periods

Handle special dietary requirements and customer requests professionally

Assist with cost control by managing portion sizes and ingredient usage
Job pre-requisites:

At least two years of cooking experience (experience gained in the same industry are considered as meeting the experience requirements)

Relevant cookery qualification or certificate is preferable but not a must

Attention to details and a hard-working attitude.
