We’re after someone with solid sheet metal trade skills who can measure, mark, shape, and join sheet metal and other materials to make and assemble components correctly.

 

We are a new development company in New Zealand. We specialise in trading construction materials such as steel, sheet metal, plywood, machinery, hydraulic fittings, tools, and construction equipment. We are currently looking for new team members to join our company. Our business hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, and Saturday, 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

We have two permanent full-time roles available for Sheetmetal Trades Workers in Auckland. We’re looking for reliable team players who are willing to learn and take on new challenges. The pay rate ranges from $29.66 to $35 per hour, with between 30 and 45 hours of work each week, including weekend work when required.

Our requirements: 

We are seeking a candidate with strong skills in cutting, shaping, bending, rolling, and forming sheet metal using a range of tools. The ideal applicant can accurately interpret technical drawings and plans and follow instructions with precision. The role also requires good physical stamina and manual dexterity to work in varied environments and weather conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting technical drawings, plans, and specifications to determine job requirements

  • Measuring and marking out sheet metal and materials accurately

  • Cutting, shaping, bending, rolling, and forming sheet metal using hand tools, power tools, and machinery

  • Fabricating components such as ductwork, flashings, roofing, cladding, panels, and fittings

  • Joining sheet metal parts using welding, soldering, riveting, bolting, or sealing techniques

  • Assembling and installing finished products on-site or in workshops

  • Inspecting completed work to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications

  • Repairing or modifying existing sheet metal structures and components

  • Maintaining tools, equipment, and a safe, clean work environment

  • Complying with workplace health and safety requirements and industry standards
