Job Description:
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Financial Management and Reporting
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to the
Managing Director and stakeholders. - Monitor the company’s financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure
compliance and efficiency.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads, ensuring
alignment with business objectives. - Develop rolling forecasts to reflect current and future business activities and market
conditions. - Analyze variances and trends, providing actionable insights to support decision making.
Cost Control and Optimization
- Oversee project cost management, ensuring profitability across architecture, interior
design, fit-outs, and commercial kitchen equipment supply operations. - Review and analyze expenses, identifying opportunities for cost reduction without
compromising quality or delivery.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management
- Manage the company’s cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational and capital needs.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and
collections. - Liaise with financial institutions to optimize banking arrangements and financing
strategies.
Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate
governance requirements. - Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors.
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard company
assets.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and designers to align financial
management with project objectives. - Support strategic initiatives, including new business ventures and investment
opportunities.
Job requirement: applicant must meet following requirement to apply for this job
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; OR
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/financial management role, preferably in the architecture, design, or project management industries.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., MYOB, Xero).
- Advanced knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
