Job Title: Fruit Production Supervisor

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Fruit Production Supervisor to lead our team in managing operations and ensuring the highest standards of horticultural practices.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan, organize, and execute all tasks related to kiwifruit orchard work and orchard/property maintenance.

- Lead and work with a team of laborers in the orchard operations, ensuring timely completion of tasks.

- Accurately track and report productivity and progress of teams to maintain operational efficiency.

- Upskill team members in all aspects of orchard management and people management to enhance productivity and quality results.

- Champion health and safety practices across all worksites to ensure a safe working environment.

- Manage and supervise machinery operations, including but not limited to spraying, mowing, mulching, and fertiliser spreading.

- Coordinate the use and maintenance of machinery, ensuring all equipment is in optimal working condition.

- Order and manage spray products and maintain inventory for orchard operations.

- Enter information into the spray diary and organize servicing and maintenance of all machinery.

- Assist in supervising staff responsible for regular orchard tasks such as pruning and thinning.

The candidates are required to:

- Have minimum 2 years work experience in orchard OR

- Have a relevant level 4 qualification or above or have a bachelor degree

- Have no criminal convictions

- Have excellent communication skills

- Have team leader capability and be a good team player - Attention to details

- Hard working

- Experience in operating tractors, forklifts, and various agricultural machinery.

- Ability to coordinate harvest machinery operations and manage inventory.

- Familiarity with the proper maintenance and servicing of agricultural machinery.
