Fresh Food Manager – Freshchoice Paetiki Taupo

We are looking for a Fresh Food Manager at FreshChoice.
As the Fresh Food Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the butchery, produce, bakery, and deli departments, ensuring each is equipped with the resources needed to deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.
Fresh Food Manager is expected to work a minimum of 30-35 hours a week with a weekly payroll. Hours are rostered on a weekly basis and include weekend shifts.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all staff are fully and productively utilised.
- Ensure all store standards are upheld at all times.
- Ensure customer queries, compaints etc, are dealt with in a polite and friendly manner.
- Produce: a)Well stocked with quality products. Bananas and salad fridge require additional observing. b)A zero gaps policy applies with any product shortages to be covered by spreading other products c) Displays well maintained.
- Butchery: Displays and cabinets full and well presented.
- Seafood: a) Ensure display and cabinets are well maintained and presented with good range of product. b) Glass is kept spotless.
- Dairy Deli: a) Displays and cabinets full and well presented b)Special attention towards milk shelves being full and tidy.
- Service Deli: a) Ensure display cabinet is full in appearance. b) Glass is kept spotless. c)Hot food cabinets well presented with special attention to cooked chickens d) Food to go section well presented with special attention to variety and offering of pizzas.
- Bakery: a) Ensure displays, shelving and fridge are well stocked and presented. b) Worth checking late afternoon to see what back up stock is available for re-stocking.
- All products are price ticketed and pricing frames across the store are straight and tidy.
- Rectifying any pricing integrity issues.
- Ensure staffing matters are dealt with in a fair and resonable manner.
- Continuously monitor store appearance and staff performance and deal with any aspects that fall below store standards according to store guidelines.
- Ensure Health and Safety policies and the Four Square Food safety program are adhered to.
- Report any areas of concern to the appropriate position.
- Marketing and publicising the organisation's products and services.
- Negotiating supply and price agreements with suppliers.
- Perform any other task as required to ensure the smooth running of the store or as instructed by Management.
For this role we need:
- 5+ years of experience managing a small team.
- Minimum level 7 or equivalent qualification in management or Business.
- LCQ Licence is a MUST.
- Hands-on person. Physical role that involves standing and repetitive heavy lifting up to 15kg and does not mind getting hands dirty.
